Oakleys Turns 3

May 20, 2015
Oakley turned 3 in the middle of the week so we ended up having a few separate activities for her. First was the night of her birthday after her sisters baseball game. We sang to her and had frozen ho hos.

We took Grandma and Grandpa Tatum to the airport to visit the other cousins. They gave her gift before her celebration.

We painted fairy houses for our trip to the Fairy Forest. The kids had a blast getting there houses just right.

For those that have read the book, "The Big Orange Splot" my house will make sense :)

We headed to the Enchanted Fairy Forest. Despite the weather and having to cross a fairly large river to continue on we ended up having a great time placing our houses among the others and walking around exploring. I also made a pretty great birthday cake for her :)

Gammie and Potts saved the day with a few extra blankets and clothes to keep the kids warm since it was snowing outside and we only had a few things for the kids....thus the double clothes. We had no idea it would be snowing at the end of May!

The river we half carried/ half dragged the kids through

AND WARNING...Lots of pictures of our fun finds! Thanks Gammie and Potts for the pictures!

Placing our little houses and rocks amongst the rest

Potts left his own rock creations

 Another Potts formation

We had so much fun walking around, but missed quite a bit because of the size and the kids were getting cold. We will have to venture back to see the things we missed!

We found a park for a picnic on the way back. It was windy, but she liked the cake anyway.

I forgot the gifts on the way out the door to the Fairy Forest so we opened them when we got back. Sisters and brother gave her a chalk set, Grandma Collier gave her two dollars, Gammie and Potts gave her a helmet, and we gave her a new scooter.
